Music City Leather is owned and operated by award-winning boot maker Wes Shugart. He creates custom cowboy boots that are as unique as their wearers. Handmade in Nashville, Tennessee, Wes holds fast to the Southern tradition of pride in what he does and how he does it. He believes in quality and style, marrying age-old tradition with modern fashion, and practical durability with fine art. 

Growing up on a Georgia cattle farm Wes learned the importance of a comfortable cowboy boot. After moving to Nashville and running several businesses, he took up bootmaking. He went to New Mexico and apprenticed with a second-generation bootmaker, learning the craft. A few years later he spent time with an award-winning boot maker in Arizona. Since that time his work has been displayed in museums and received several awards and accolades. Wes now works from his custom shop in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee, and loves creating functional art for people from all over the country and world.
