Artist Biography | Matthew was born in Virginia and spent part of his childhood in Vienna, Austria. As a teenager, he became interested in ceramics, and applied to Virginia Commonwealth University to attend their Craft and Materials program. At VCU his passion for ceramics evolved into a love for hot glass. After receiving his BFA, Matthew moved to Seattle, Washington to continue working with glass. He now works for Fremont Antique Glass making sheet glass and continues to pursue his studio glass work.
