The Penland Gallery exhibits the work of artists who are affiliated with the Penland School of Craft, from across the country and beyond. These include current and former instructors, resident artists, core fellows, and students working in contemporary craft media: books and paper, clay, drawing and painting, glass, iron, metals, photo, print and letterpress, textiles, and wood. The gallery exhibits work by an ever-changing collective of established and emerging artists creating sculptural and functional objects, conceptual, and narrative work – representing the creative expanse that exists at Penland School.
