MIA KAPLAN
Mia Kaplan is an artist who works primarily in jewelry and metalsmithing and is from Durham, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, where she obtained her BA in Studio Art. Two defining experiences that have shaped Mia as an artist were in internships at Liberty Arts Sculpture Studio & Foundry in Durham and Brooklyn Metal Works through the New York Arts Program in New York City. Mia has completed one year of the Core Fellowship at the Penland School of Craft. She has most recently shown work at the Whitewater Valley Art Competition at Indiana University East and at Five Points Gallery in Torrington, Connecticut.
