Drawing & Painting Summer Session 6
August 9-21, 2020

Sense of Place
Having an intimate encounter with the landscape, cultivating awareness and presence, and translating what we see into a sensory experience that becomes a composition in paint-—these are the elements at the heart of this workshop. We’ll develop abstract visual language in various ways, from working in the landscape and the studio to playing with materials other than paint (colored pencils, paper collage, found object, assemblage, etc.). Our goals are to understand something beyond the physical elements of the landscape, to use nature as a way to express something internal, and to create a poetic response. All levels. Code 06D
