2015 Penland Core Fellows

We’re thrilled to announce our four new Penland core fellows. Elmar Fujita, Daniel Garver, Morgan Hill, and Bryan Parnham will join Jamie Karolich, Joshua Kovarik, Meghan Martin, Emily Rogstad, and Tyler Stoll on campus in the Spring of 2015:

 

Elmar 

Elmar Fujita graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Product Design from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City. Elmar served as a shop technician in wood at Parsons, and then attended Haystack, which led her to pursue the Penland core fellowship. elmarfujita.com

 

 

 

 

 
 

danielgarver 
Daniel Garver is a ceramic artist with a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who has worked with several studio potters in the Penland community. He will use his time as a core fellow to exercise his interest in design through experimentation in clay, wood, iron, and paper. danielgarver.com

 

 

 

 
 

morganhill 

Morgan Hill graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Applied Design from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. She makes furniture, wooden jewelry, and other objects, and will use the core fellowship to develop these interests. morganhillcreative.com

 

 

 

 

 
 

bryanparnham 

Primarily a jeweler, Bryan Parnham graduated with a BFA in Metals and Ceramics from VCU, with time spent in the University of Georgia’s study abroad program in Cortona, Italy. Bryan is interested in the expansive possibilities available to him in Penland’s print, wood, and iron studios. bryanparnham.com
