Artists for Equity Scholarship

This scholarship fund was established in response to numerous artists reaching out to Penland with one goal in mind: to increase opportunities for artists of color who would otherwise not have access to Penland due to funding.

 

We invite you to help bring new artists and new voices to our community by contributing to the Artists for Equity Scholarship Fund. Your donation will go directly towards supporting a full scholarship for a student of color.

In a caring and generous community like this, even small gifts compound to make a big impact. One scholarship won’t change the face of the craft world, but it can absolutely open up new possibilities for an individual and start creating the momentum we need to reach a more equitable, inclusive community at Penland and beyond.
