Description

Simple and highly functional, this opener is a sleek little favorite. Punched steel with a black oxide and hand rubbed finish.

Iron Design – the shaping of steel into inviting and unique articles. Contrary to popular belief, modern day usage of iron is more accurately steel. Familiar terms such as “wrought” and “forged” describe how iron and iron goods were made and continue to be common descriptions of formed steel products. In many ways, Maiorana’s studio is similar to the ages-old iron workshop, yet updated with a number of modern technical conveniences. He uses heat, hammers, and hydraulics to form steel stock; pencil, clay, and wire to draft and model new designs.
