This is our neighbor Elizabeth Brim, with components of a large sculpture she's been working on for the past year. The piece is a representation of a service (which is pronounced "sarvis") tree, and it will be installed around a large, pole-mounted clock in the nearby town of Spruce Pine. The communty should feel an extra sense of connection with the piece as many hands helped shape and paint the hundreds of steel flowers on the tree. The dedication ceremony is on Saturday, April 26.
